A touch of the Holy Spirit
Over the last few days I have been aware of an increase in the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit to stay a little longer in my prayer, study and meditations times. I love the sweetness of the fellowship of the Spirit of the Lord.
The Word of God says that the Lord will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon the Lord. I do not know a better discription of what it is like to be in the Spirit of the Lord. Perfect Peace is a great discription. This peace is felt in the calmness of my spirit and in the absolute restfulness of my body. To meditate on the Spirit of the Lord (The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God”) is to have true restfulness.
When the early Church Disciples greeted each other they said thing like, “Peace be unto your”. To speak peace to someone was the same as asking the Lord to be with them. His peace, is His Spirit.
Blessings,
ron
